The Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) is pleased to invite you to attend the 18th Annual Canadian Respiratory Conference (CRC) at the Calgary Telus Convention Centre in beautiful Calgary, from April 16-18, 2026.
This national interdisciplinary meeting has become an annual must-attend educational and scientific event for members of the Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) and Canadian Respiratory Health Professionals (CRHP) and others working in respiratory health.
The conference is of special interest to those in our clinical and scientific community, including adult and pediatric respirologists, residents, fellows and trainees, family and emergency physicians, respiratory therapists, pulmonary technologists, physical therapists, nurses, dieticians, pharmacists, educators and other professionals working in the respiratory field.

CTS Women’s Forum: Inspiring Women in Respiratory Healthcare

The CTS Women's Forum and breakfast will honour and foster community for women in respiratory healthcare. Our guest speaker will share their story and reflect on how they have navigated and overcome challenges throughout their life and career. Everyone is welcome to attend this morning session.
Saturday Workshops

A discussion and case-based session on how to develop high quality guidelines. The first part of this workshop will discuss the current state of guideline development at CTS. The second part will cover key components of guideline development such as PICO formulation and assessing evidence.

The CTS Home Mechanical Ventilation Assembly is excited to invite you to the second hands-on workshop featuring interactive, small group sessions with preceptors demonstrating equipment and guiding participants through practical case scenarios.

Physicians suffer from high rates of burnout but can rediscover meaning in work and improved well-being using evidence-based mindfulness skills. In this workshop participants will be introduced to Mindful PracticeⓇ in Medicine, learning and practicing mindfulness skills / self-regulation while experiencing the power of dialogue.

Travel Arrangements
Global Travel is the official travel agency for the Canadian Respiratory Conference (CRC). For assistance in making your travel plans, or for discount booking codes for Air Canada, Porter and WestJet, visit the conference website at cts-sct.ca/crc.
International Delegates
International delegates wishing to attend the CRC are responsible for their own arrangements including travel, accommodation, visas, registration fees and incidentals. The CRC does not provide letters of invitation. To assist with securing travel visas, the CRC will provide receipts upon payment of fees as confirmation of registration.
Registration Materials
Only delegates registered for the CRC may claim registration materials at the conference registration desk; it will not be possible to collect materials on behalf other delegates.
Photographs
Photographs taken at the Canadian Respiratory Conference will be utilized in future CRC promotional material that may include print, electronic, or other media including the CRC website. By participating in CRC 2026, you grant CTS the right to use your profile captured photographically for such purposes.
Health & Safety
Please note that the CTS plans to meet and/or exceed all local public health protocols that will be in place at the time of the CRC 2026. All aspects of the conference will be conducted following public health guidelines established by the Alberta Health Services (AHS) – Public Health Services, and the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC).
Cancellation Policy
CRC cancellations received in writing by March 17, 2026, will be refunded in full, less a $150 administration fee. Workshop cancellations received in writing by March 17, 2026 will be refunded for 50% of the registration cost. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after March 17, 2026. Only cancellations received in writing will be processed.
Substitution of delegates is permitted up to and including the first day of the conference.
The Canadian Thoracic Society (CTS) reserves the right to cancel
the conference due to insufficient registration and will be responsible for
refunding conference registration fees only.
